The secret to this project is the hidden door leading to the wine-tasting room. The wall and hidden door are made from rough sawn cedar, with a specialty inset hinge and magnetic catch, so no handle is required. The wine-tasting area has built-in wine racks, a custom made copper countertop, a copper vessel bowl and fixtures. The wetbar tile wall is also an accent in the back of the wall cabinets. An abundance of closet space was added in the basement, rebricked the fireplace and installed barnwood mantel, and lower-level bedroom was added, to include a window egress.
