The renovation of this home included opening up the 2nd floor attic to create usable space. The exterior focus is the addition of a Nantucket dormer with siding that runs parrel to the roof, for a true Williamsburg colonial look, designed and built in-house. The porch roof system is supported by tapered columns holding a barreled beadboard sealing. Covering the front of the porch ceiling is raised panels and a keystone. To further enhance the look, the facia size increased to 8" and the drip edge was done in tuxedo gray to blend with the shingles.
