We combined a family room and formal living space for a more functional room for this family that opens up to the kitchen. A load-bearing wall was removed, a steel t-beam is hidden in the ceiling, and electric, plumbing and heating were routed to outside walls in the front/back of the house. Finishing touches included a hardwood floor (wide-planked walnut, handscraped, wirebrushed, with white finish for a rustic look), and recessed LED lighting.
There are so many details to consider when planning to refresh or remodel your kitchen. Until you begin the process, many don't have a clue to how many options and details there are to consider...even when selecting something as seemingly simple as the kitchen sink.
Just completed....another great Skip Knoll creation. Professional service as usual. This is the 5th or so remodel, Third at this house. Nothing better!
