Skip Knoll is in a class of his own! This is not our first project with Skip and his attention to detail from start to finish has always impressed us. She was there with me in every decision from the colors of walls right down to door handles. Joe, the lead carpenter is a very talented and skilled craftsman. We just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with the work you and your guys did removing the old skylights and repairing the window sills. The ceiling design you came up with is beautiful. The added insulation keeps the room noticeably cooler, and we expect it will be warmer in the winter as well. During last night's heavy rain, we had no leaks- first time in years! We definitely appreciate the quality of workmanship, and the solutions you devised for the too-low sills. Greg is quite pleased with the work- and from someone with his hgih standards, that is unusual. Thank you for helping us with this project. Very happy with the work and the attention to detail- even down to the fact that I found essentially no debris in the garden below. Be sure to let your crew know. 

Superior design, quality materials, excellent craftsmanship - these are the things Skip Knoll and his team bring to every project. I know this because we have just completed our second renovation project with Skip. The first renovation was major and involved removing walls and redesigning our floor plan. This second project was the complete makeover of both of our bathrooms. Remodeling is not easy, but working with Skip’s team and his subcontractors made the process painless. We love the results!

Skip and his crew were nothing but perfectionist! From the beginning to the end, every detail was thought out and taken care of. The communication was prompt and teamwork transparent with all involved. Our dream kitchen was worth every penny spent. Can’t recommend Skip and his crew enough, they will stick to their word and complete to perfection!

We worked with Skip Knoll Professional Remodeling to enclose an existing porch. The porch was a challenge due to existing arched openings which we did not want to lose. The project lasted seven weeks (October/November, 2021). Each day started at 7am and his crew of 3 to 4 men worked till 4pm five days a week. I can't say enough about their professionalism. They answered all questions respectfully. They were very knowledgeable and made suggestions to enhance the project as they saw fit. Overall they exceeded all our expectations with high quality materials (i.e. Anderson Windows, cedar trim, etc.) skills, and experience. We would rate them a 10 out of 10.

My husband and I purchased our future retirement home in Erie while we lived in Raleigh. We met with several contractors, however, we felt very comfortable with Skip based on the reviews. We had to choose someone whom we trusted to complete the remodel while we were in North Carolina. We met several times with he and Christine to plan the job, then we went back to Raleigh. While we were away, the job was completed. It was a huge leap of faith to give our trust to Skip and his team to create our dream home. After several months and Facetime calls, the remodel was completed on schedule for Christmas!! He even had a pizza and drinks waiting for us when we arrived and the bed was made for us!! We could not be more pleased! His experienced team solved many problems of an older home with exceptional craftsmanship. It was his idea to paint the kitchen cabinets since they were only a few years old which saved us several thousand dollars. He had many suggestions while they were working on the job that proves his attention to detail is impressive. We will use him for our future bathroom remodels. Skip and his team are exceptional. We included a few before and after photos.

Skip and Allison had great ideas for updating our kitchen. The crew came in and and did a professional job in all areas. They prepared the area and cleaned up daily. They didn't start the job until all the materials were in so everything ran very smoothly. My husband and I are very, very, pleased with the end result. I would highly recommend Skip Knoll and his crew.

The entire process was exactly what I wanted and expected. From meeting with Skip and his designer Alison to begin the initial design phase to his crew who actually completed the work, everything was smooth, thoroughly thought through and came out looking fantastic. They are detail oriented, thinking of many things that I never would have and I appreciated all of the advice they had through the process on design and realistic expectations. I would highly recommend Skip Knoll, Inc. We updated our honey oak kitchen with granite counter tops, a Blanco sink, an oiled brass faucet, under counter lighting, recessed ceiling lighting and back splash. We also added new hardware to the cabinets. Skip was helpful in coordinating these changes, and was dependable in showing up for appointments. Either Skip or Alison got back to me when I texted questions or concerns. The quality of the work completed was high and exceeded our expectations. The job was completed on time and within budget. I am fortunate that I stopped in to see Skip and he made our vision a reality.

We had one bath gutted and remodeled, one bath overhauled (new flooring, sink, toilet, countertop, cabinet raised, lighting, shower doors, new ceiling, fixtures etc.) and some new and moved cabinetry, new countertop, new sink, relocation and installation of appliances, new lighting and new backsplash in the kitchen. Extremely pleased with high quality work, excellent communication, stuck to schedules and followed up quickly on questions/concerns. All workers were very skilled, professional, reliable, friendly and trustworthy. Strongly recommend Skip and his team for any remodel job.

I worked with Skip Knoll and his staff to totally redo my kitchen. During our first meeting with Skip, it was clear that he was who I wanted to work with. His ideas have totally transformed my kitchen into a beautiful space that has a much larger work area as well all of the storage that I so need. We have experience working with contractors - built two houses and did another renovation. I have to say that working with Skip Knoll and his staff was one of our, if not the best, experiences. They are knowledgeable, detail oriented, focused on quality and you can trust their word. They will do the job right. As with all renovations, they found things that needed to be repaired - not their fault-  before they could proceed. Their price for the work was worth every penny. We love the final product, they listened to our needs and preferences and gave good advice. Would highly recommend them. They will do it right the first time!

Skip and his team did an excellent job converting our formal dining room to a first floor laundry and shower room. Skip was very knowledgeable and professional with designing the room. The workers were very polite, considerate, skilled and willing to do whatever we asked. Pete the main carpenter was very skilled and meticulous with his work. We hired Skip to install a new sliding glass door on our back porch and he and his crew have done wonderful work on a surprisingly complicated project - definitely one we couldn't have tackled without them! The estimate was very cost efficient, especially considering the amount of labor that went into the preparation of the new door and the removal of the old one. The work was done very quickly and we were surprised at how detail-oriented Skip was; he went so far as to have the door hand-stained to match the trim in our kitchen. He and his team are true professionals and craftsman; they are meticulous, efficient, and accessible and easy to communicate with during all steps of the process. This has been an excellent experience and one we look forward to repeating on future home improvement projects!

Skip Knoll Inc remodeled my bathroom. They converted an adjoining closet into a walk-in shower and replaced the vanity, counter, and floor. This involved plumbing, electrical, tile, and plaster work. They also replaced the flooring in the entry and the kitchen and expanded the entry from the dining area to the kitchen. Several years ago, they converted a three season patio into a year round sun room integrating it into the house. This involved raising the floor 2 steps, installation of windows and doors, insulation, heating, electrical, exterior integration, downspouts, and minor landscaping.

Skip supervised the work site often. The three workmen I was in contact with, and all the subcontractors were friendly, helpful, hard working, very competent, and efficient. I left them with the key to my house for the length of both projects and never hesitated to leave them alone in the house. The work site was cleared and cleaned as much as possible each evening. I would hire this company again without hesitation and have recommended them to friends.

You get what you pay for in contractors. I have learned this the hard way in the past.

We are very very pleased with the wonderful work done for us by Skip and his crew. Jake, Joe, Ryan, Tom, Hunter, and Felix were the most professional and dedicated workers. The craftsmanship is beyond measure.  Skip worked on our project as well and managed it and problem solved.  We have never had such a flawless project done for us.  We are extremely grateful for all their work.  Also a huge shout out to Alison Miller.  Her interior design knowledge was outstanding.  Thank to this wonderful team!

Just completed....another great Skip Knoll creation. We needed a new look for our lake room floor as the carpet needed replaced. Skip and his team came up with a great idea of a herring bone tile floor. Excellent idea as the room gets lots of use. Better yet...he added supplement heating under the tile to fight the cold gales blowing off lake Erie. Professional service as usual. Joe and Felix did a wonderful job and the results are beautiful. This is the 5th or so remodel, Third at this house. Nothing better!

We hired Skip Knoll, Inc for our sun room 4 seasons room addition project, Skip surpassed all expectations of the project. We are extremely happy and satisfied, and would not think twice about hiring him again. He and his crew are easy to work with and very conscientious about their work, and any concerns we had during the project. Additionally, he also built and installed a custom closet for us, prior to the room addition.

Skip Knoll and team did a fantastic job remodeling my living room. The team was very courteous, and meticulous, they worked diligently to complete the work on time and correctly. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the work and it was exactly the way I wanted it .

We are thrilled with the way the tile floor and grout turned out in the kitchen! It looks like new. An amazingly clean job as usual! 

We were very satisfied with the built-in cabinets installed in our home office. They assisted us in designing the project to meet our needs and the crew was professional and friendly when they installed the cabinets. We would definitely recommend Skip Knoll and consider them again for future projects. 

We have worked with Skip on several projects in our home over the years. We had to put in a new kitchen floor and it made the rest of the kitchen look bad. Skip redid our counter-tops, put in a new sink, removed a never used kitchen desk and replaced it with much-needed cabinets and finally added a small built in cabinet that matched the original cabinets.

We next moved on to the basement where we added a bonus room. It was simple, yet efficient and it added much-needed room for the kids.

But our dream project was our master bedroom and bathroom. It was small and close. Skip came in and redesigned it into a beautiful, award winning en-suite. He took some of the wasted bedroom space and re-purposed it into an area with built in drawers with a clothes closet above. He opened the whole bathroom area, put in a beautifully tiled shower and double sink with loads of storage area. Skip worked with us on every step. We added grab bars, a bench in the shower and heated floors. We did run into one snafu. When they were putting in the built in closet, they found mold in the attic because the bathroom ventilation was vented into the attic. Skip arranged to have someone take care of the mold, redid the ventilation and then had the additional insulation sprayed in.

This was supposed to be our forever home. Fast forward a few years and my husband got a great job in the Detroit area near my family. So now we are house hunting again. But it has it has been very frustrating because there have been no homes that compare to ours. We finally decided to build, incorporating all the little touches that Skip did.

Skip and his team completed a bathroom remodel at our home in Erie in March 2022.  The team including Skip (owner), Alison (Designer) and Jake did an excellent job. The planning process was very thorough. Alison provided a detailed rendering of the design and offered a number of helpful suggestions on materials, colors, lighting, etc. Our house is older and (during the demo) they uncovered several structural issues with the original construction and a previous bathroom renovation and explained how they were able to rectify them. Skip communicated with us continuously throughout the project to show us the work-in-progress, make minor design decisions, etc. The final product was impeccable with impressive attention to every detail.  We strongly recommend Skip Knoll Inc.
